Adaptations is a series of watercolour and ink drawings and screen prints that imagine electronic infrastructures such as satellites and cell phone towers entwined with and overtaken by natural growth. Antennae branch like stems, satellite forms resemble barnacles, and networked systems echo root structures and mycelial growth. By bringing together built infrastructure and natural processes, the series reflects on how technologies move through cycles of use, obsolescence, and transformation. These imagined hybrids suggest a world where communication systems are not separate from the environment, but instead adapt, decay, and regenerate alongside it.
