Post-Desktop is an installation of soft sculpture circuitry that reimagines the internal components of abandoned electronics as “retired” and newly autonomous. Capacitors, resistors, plugs, and LEDs are translated into fabric and fibre forms, removed from their rigid casings and reassembled as tactile, oversized characters.
Freed from their original function inside sealed devices, these components interact with one another, forming loose networks and quiet conversations across the space. By imagining alternative endings for obsolete circuits, the work reflects on electronic waste at its smallest scale. Instead of remaining hidden and disposable, these minute parts are given weight, softness, and a renewed presence in the physical world.
